Best bet for the horse racing at Pontefract Wednesday 15th August
That’s that for Tuesday where over at Chelmsford Fox Coach wins nicely, hope you got the 7-2 last night with Blue Mist second; it’s a winning day.
On to Wednesday and at 3.40 they line-up over 1m2f at Salisbury for the Listed British Stallion Studs EBF Upavon Fillies' Stakes. Godolphin mare Promising Run from the stable of Saeed bin Suroor has slowly been coming back to form having been winning better races than this out at Meydan in the winter. Second at Pontefract last time over a mile behind Clon Coulis, who has come out and won again since, this trip should be ideal. She has to give weight all round but at her best would be capable of doing so. The yard remains in pretty decent form and has an above average strike rate when sending one the 170 odd miles to the Wiltshire track. Grab a bit of the 4-1. Chain Of Daisies would be a big danger if bouncing back to form whilst Crystal Hope is an interesting lightly raced filly but would probably prefer the ground softer.
