Best bet for the horse racing at Newcastle Tuesday 12th January
I, a little like the horse Bangkok, simply can't buy a win at the moment. He looked all over the winner turning for home last night, I was counting the money, only for that girl Hollie Doyle to come and nick the race on the line on the outsider of the field, unbelievable!
Anyhow, I am having another go this evening up at Newcastle in the 5.30 the Mile Bombardier Conditions Stakes which is an All-Weather Championships Fast-Track Qualifier. Ummalnar has been in the notebook for a while, my initial notes reading ' Won on debut and then long odds on at Chelmsford. Reportedly 'works like a Group horse at home' Dam also dam of Sheikhzayedroad.' She hasn't perhaps reached the heights hoped for but she aint bad. Very impressive when making all to win by six-lengths in a Listed race at Dundalk in November a repeat performance here will do. I have the 5-4.
