Best bet for the horse racing at Longchamp Thursday 14th May
There is another decent card across the Channel on Thursday at Longchamp with a couple of Group Three races and three Listed heats. They get underway at 10.10am our time.
The first is the Listed 1m3f Prix de la Seine for which Raabihah will be a warm order. Nicely bred and impressive on debut back in January on the All-Weather at Cagnes-sur-Mer the chestnut Sea The Stars filly is clearly the one to beat. 4-5 is the best price early.
The Group Three 1m1f Prix La Force at 10.40 is a bit more competitive on paper. Mkfancy won the G.1 Criterium De Saint-Cloud last year and was second in a Listed heat at Chantilly on his three-year-old debut back in March. He has the best form in the book and you are taking a chance on dangers such as Ocean Atlantique and Another Sky having improved over the winter if backing one of them without any proof. I am on Mkfancy at 7-2.
At 11.20 it's the same 1m1f course for the Group Three Prix Vanteaux for the fillies. Emoji is two from two including a win earlier this season, before the enforced break, in a Listed race at Saint-Cloud. 15-8 best might look generous after the race and I have it.
I am not getting involved in the Listed Prix Zarkava.
The last of the big races is the 12.10 the 7f Prix Du Pont Neuf. Sujet Libre weren't beat far in the G.3 Prix La Rochette last season and though Kenway aint exactly franked the form the second, Wooded, won on Tuesday (beat my selection) in the 6f Group Three Prix Texanita. I have the 7-2 with Power overnight.
