Best bet for the horse racing at Lingfield Wednesday 18th December

I am having my first punt of the week on Wednesday on the Polytrack at Lingfield Park.

The 1m2f Betway Handicap due off at 2.50 is the race of the day at the Surrey track. A couple have some track and trip form to their name but the one that really caught my eye back on Monday going through the card is El Ghazwani. All three of the four-year-olds career wins have come over track and trip and he is back below his latest winning mark. He was beaten here last time but was forced to race wide early having been drawn widest of all and weakened out of contention late on – vet reported colt had been struck into on his right-hind. James Doyle is back in the saddle Wednesday, rode him to one of those career victories here, and drawn in stall five he should be able to follow any early pace before swooping late and as such the Hugo Palmer trained colt is fancied to get back to winning ways. I have the 4-1 Hills went on Monday afternoon. The Jean Genie is a danger but he can be a bit of a monkey and should have won more than the twice he has.

Be lucky
