Best bet for the horse racing at Lingfield Saturday 30th November

Champ won advised 6-4 and Kalashnikov was mugged on the line at 3's for me Friday. There is a lot of racing to get involved with this weekend if you wish but a lot is a punting minefield. Fiendishly difficult handicaps, dodgy ground and Graded heats with odds-on shots it’s the sort of weekend that could take your boots off! Doncaster is of course abandoned and they will inspect at Newcastle in the morning.

I fancied one at Wolverhampton but unfortunately, Godolphin have decided not to send it.

Up north at Newcastle, if they race, Buveur D'Air is the star attraction bidding for a third consecutive Grade One Fighting Fifth Hurdle with the two-mile heat due off at 2.05. He was installed as ante-post odds-on favourite and remains so and though I am a huge fan for me is unbackable. I have had my fingers burnt more than once this year with horses trying to notch a hat-trick, see Enable and Bristol De Mai!

I am having just one bet, at Lingfield on the Polytrack at 2.50 tin the 7f Bombardier British Hopped Amber Beer Handicap. Red Skye Delight has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory the last twice over a mile at Chelmsford. The drop back to this trip might see her get off the mark at the tenth attempt if the fitting of cheekpieces for the first time helps her concentrate when it matters. I have taken a chance at 5-2.

Be lucky
