Best bet for the horse racing at Chelmsford City Thursday 30th August

It has been a very quiet week at Triple G Towers but I am finally having a punt this week today and it’s pretty near to home for me. They race at Chelmsford City and I will be getting involved in the 4.00 Old Golden Hen Handicap over six furlongs.

It could be argued Roussel has gone backwards this season having been in some fair race at two. He kicked off the campaign winning a Novice Stakes at Doncaster followed by a third in a Listed heat at York. The G.1 Commonwealth Cup was a big ask and he finished in midfield before disappointing in his last two runs. The gelding makes his Polytrack debut today and the cheekpieces are on for the first time. The yard of Charlie Appleby remains in good form and at 9-4 with Paddy Power, I have taken a chance he can bounce back to form as he should prove far too good for this line-up.

Be lucky
