Best bet for the horse racing at Aintree Sunday 23rd October
I am having a cheeky bet on Sunday afternoon up at Aintree in the Grade Two Jewson St Helens Old Roan Limited Handicap Chase at 2.40 - what else you going to do on a wet Sunday afternoon?
It is actually quite a competitive renewal with, in my opinion, Hitman, Do Your Job, Millers Bank, Beakstown and Soldier Of Destiny all in with a chance. I have gone with Ttack and trip winner Millers Bank at 11-2. The track and trip win was in the Grade One Manifesto Novices' Chase in April on good-soft and looks a decent bit of form to me, showing how much he had progressed over the bigger obstacles after a dodgy start to his Chase career. The eight-year-old goes well fresh, won on seasonal reappearance in 2021, and the yards horses are in fair form.
