A Preview of the horse racing this weekend - Qipco British Champions Day

Following a particularly nasty bout of Man Flu, you ladies have no idea how lucky you are not to suffer, I am thankfully up and about ready for the weekend and Qipco British Champions Day at Ascot on Saturday.

We have Four Group One’s and a Group Two to enjoy with the small matter of £4 million prize money up for grabs. I have been sitting on a ticket for Adayar in the Champion Stakes for a while but that was my only ante-post punt this year with running plans up in the air for so many this season. As it turns out we have a number of equine superstars running and the highest rated thoroughbred in the world right now on show.  Baaeed will be attempting to win the Group One Qipco Champion Stakes and retire to stud unbeaten. Inspiral takes on the colts in the Group One  Queen Elizabeth II Stakes and some of the top speedsters such as Creative Force, Art Power and three-year-old Perfect Power face off in the Group One Qipco British Champions Sprint Stakes to name but a few.

All my fancies for the day will be in the dedicated page - see QIPCO British Champions Day in the menu.
