The horse racing week ahead

It is a week that is all about the weekend to be honest with not much to get excited about over the coming days but plenty on offer from Friday and over the weekend.

Lingfield's Winter Million Festival gets under way on Friday with a Jumps card that looks likely to attract a few with the prize-money on offer and we have the third meeting at the Dubai World Cup Carnival with a Group Two and a couple of Listed heats on the card. Come the weekend all being well we have the clash between Energumene and Edwardstone at Ascot with the two star chasers both on course to run in Saturday's Grade One LK Bennett Clarence House Chase; sadly Amarillo Sky is the only other potential runner following Monday's confirmation stage. There is the Grade Two Mares Hurdle at Ascot as well and over at Haydock they host four Grade Two's. Also on Saturday Lingfield's Winter Million Festival continues with big prize-money on offer this time on the All-Weather. The Winter Million Festival comes to a close on Sunday at Lingfield with Grand National hero Noble Yeats potentially going in the Fleur De Lys Chase.

No bet for me on Monday but as ever any bets I am having will be posted here so do check back.

Be lucky
