Best bet for the horse racing Tuesday 17th September 2024

There is one running on Tuesday that I have to back so I have taken the plunge.

Best bet for the horse racing at Yarmouth

I have tipped the two-year-old Al Misbar on both his career starts to date, fourth at Ascot over 6f in July and when second at HQ over 7f in August. He runs in the 3.05 at Yarmouth the 6f  British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes and I am on again at 15-8. By multiple G.1 winning sprinter Blue Point (also won the 6f G.2 Gimcrack Stakes as a juvenile) he is out of Anna Law. She never troubled the starter in four career starts but comes from a family that has produced some very good sprinters in recent years and she herself foaled Group winning sprinter The Antarctic and multiple G.1 winner Battaash; both sired by Dark Angel. I expected him to be a particularly precocious two-year-old but it has taken a bit of time for him to get the hang of things; his run at HQ suggested the penny has dropped he just didn't seem to get home over seven. All being well it will be third time lucky this afternoon for the Charlie Appleby inmate. With William Buick not in action till later this week James Doyle is in the saddle. Midnight Thunder and West Acre but get the penalty to carry as previous winners but still look the ones most likely to give the selection something to think about.

Be lucky
