The William Hill Racing League is at Lingfield Park on Thursday evening, nothing much jumps off the page at me there and I aint getting involved.
Best bet for the horse racing at Leopardstown
I am / was looking across the Irish Sea on Thursday to the meeting at Leopardstown for my bet. One jumped off the page at me in the entries for the Group Three Invesco Pension Consultants Desmond Stakes at 6.30 on Monday when I first took a look at the race and that was Create Belief. It is her first try at this level bet she has looked like a Group horse in handicap company the last twice and is well worth a tilt at this, especially getting the age and sex allowances as she does as a three-year-old filly. She clearly doesn’t mind when the mud is flying so the good to yielding is no issue and in fact any rain will likely help her chances and showers are forecast. Short enough at Evens but I have to be on. Military Style hasn’t been seen since finishing down the field in the G.1 Vincent O'Brien National Stakes as a two-year-old; form of the race working out pretty well in fairness. Getting the weight-for-age as he does as a three-year-old colt (still has to give the selection 3lb) if primed and ready to go he also has a big chance.
