Best bet for the horse racing at Lingfield Park Friday 19th January 2018

They go at Lingfield this afternoon and two I have tipped recently go again.

First up in the Betway Handicap at 2.00 Miss Minuty goes for a course and distance hat-trick. I was on when she won on Saturday 6th and the wasy she won then suggest to me the mare is still fairly treated having risen only 4lb in the weights. The yard of Jeremy Scott is in going well and Jason Watson rides again taking off that handy 7lb. I have the 11-4 early doors.

The Betway Sprint Handicap over the six at 2.30 is a good little sprint. Udontdodou has been racking up the victories on the polytrack at Chelmsford City (was third when I was on in July!) and has a big chance but is now on a career high mark of 102 and he has never raced here before. One with plenty of experience here, and a track and trip winner, is Kasbah from the Amanda Perrett yard. The six-year-old gelding has also placed up here five times and clearly feels right at home on this left-handed sharp track. That track and trip win in January 2017 was off a pound higher than he has today and the one stall is no bad thing. I tipped him last Saturday when he dead-heated for third in a four-way photo and compensation awaits today at 5-1.

In the lucky last Charlie Appleby will be saddling Native Appeal for team Godolphin and the Exceed and Excel colt looks the one to beat – he is though 4-9 unfortunately and I won’t be playing at those odds.

Be lucky
